Children living in families struggling with problem debt are five times more likely to be unhappy than children in families without debt troubles.
Join us and call for a 'breathing space' scheme to help families in debt. This would stop debts from increasing by freezing interest and charges and allow families to tackle their debts in a manageable way, without visits from intimidating bailiffs.
Please call on the Government to give families breathing space to repay their debts, so children don’t pay the price with their mental health.
Please support children living in debt and help us get to our target
The Children’s Society would like to contact you about how you can support vulnerable children by campaigning, raising awareness and providing financial support.
