Prioritise children's wellbeing

Call on the Government to introduce a National Wellbeing Measure for children and young people.

Children’s wellbeing and happiness is one of the greatest markers of whether we succeed as a society.

And yet, we don’t measure it.

The Children’s Wellbeing & Schools Bill returns in September and has the chance to change this. It can bring about a national wellbeing measurement programme to:

  • Give young people a voice

  • Equip everyone with the insight to improve young people’s wellbeing

  • Create national accountability for reversing the decline in wellbeing

We are calling on the Government to do this – no shortcuts, no half-hearted effort. A real national programme to prioritise children’s wellbeing, to measure it, to act on it.
