Young people and families should be able to get help when they need it. But cuts to children’s centres, youth groups, addiction services and more means that help isn’t at hand.
Instead, children find that they can’t get support until their troubles spiral out of control.
Young people have told us they feel like they have to get hurt – or hurt someone else – before anyone will help them.
This isn’t right.
More money is being spent on emergency support, like taking children into care, rather than helping children and their families when problems first arise.
We’re calling for the Government to invest in early support services to help children before they come to harm. Will you join us by adding your name in support?
